Each new season, storms are given names so they can be easily identified. The first country to issue an advisory for a named low assigns the storm’s name from a predefined list. Other countries then use the same name for that system.
Storm names for Western Europe in 2025–2026: Amy, Bram, Chandra, Dave, Eddie, Fionnuala, Gerard, Hannah, Isla, Janna, Kasia, Lilith, Marty, Nico, Oscar, Patrick, Ruby, Stevie, Tadhg, Violet, and Wubbo.
Storm names for Southwestern Europe in 2025–2026: Alice, Benjamin, Claudia, Davide, Emilia, Francis, Goretti, Harry, Ingrid, Joseph, Kristin, Leonardo, Marta, Nils, Oriana, Pedro, Regina, Samuel, Therese, Vitor, and Wilma.
